Mission Statement

The role of Barema is to promote co-operation between Registered Companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution and servicing of anaesthetic and respiratory equipment and generally to further the individual and collective interests of these Companies.

To ensure the continuation of the environment wherein anaesthetic and respiratory equipment has always had an enviable reputation for innovation, quality, safety and reliability. Factors which have undoubtedly contributed to the outstanding success the industry has achieved in both domestic and overseas markets.

Barema members are dedicated to maintaining these high standards and are proud of the contribution their products and services provide in improving and enhancing quality of care in anaesthesia and respiratory medicine.

To make Barema benefits available to European based organisations having similar aims.

To continually strive to improve patient safety, through active participation in the preparation and promotion of Technical Safety Standards and procedures for Anaesthetic, Respiratory and associated devices

To maintain an ongoing, close relationship with the medical profession through mutual participation in matters leading to enhancement of the knowledge base of all, and consequent improvement of devices, procedures and in patient health and safety.
